key photograph number 1 - poster

This series of photographs was to be cropped and used as the eye on the backpack of the character on my poster.  I wanted the photo really zoomed in but still good quality and focused. 

I chose this photograph as it fit really well with what I wanted, it's a focused picture, which is what i wanted. I felt it was suitable for the poster because i needed to incorporate the eye and in my sketch there was an eye on the bag and this is exactly what i wanted. 

I cropped the photo slightly but later on in the poster editing process i completely crop it to just the eye. In photoshop i slightly sharpened the picture to make it a bit more clear and i also increased the contrast to bring out the colours. 

I was very happy with this picture, the editing process in photoshop which brought out the colours worked well. The lighting in the picture is very good and the editing i did on it made it look even better. 

The overall purpose of using this photo was to incorporate the eye, which also gives it a creepy effect which i like as it makes it different. I think the photograph really contributes to the success of the poster, it really stands out and gives a little edge on the photo.
