key photograph number 1 - dvd box

My initial intention for this photo was to show the computer geek 'cracking the code' for the mutrix.
I tried lots of different angles so i had a wide range of photo's to chose from. I also tried to experiment with depth of field in the photos.

I felt this photo was the best because it was a clear photograph and had good lighting. It was also from an interesting angle, as it wasn't straight on and boring and you could clearly see what he was doing.

This photograph was suitable because it had a small preview of what could be seen in the film. The computer could also show his personality.

I wanted to slightly darken this picture, to do this i went into adjust > brightness/contrast and darkened the photo and increased the contrast. I also wanted to slightly blur the background. For this i chose 'iris blur' and adjusted it, this ended up working well.

I really like the finished picture. because it's been darkened it looks a lot creepier and more interesting. i like the fade effect that i put on it as well as it shows depth of field.

The photo fits well with the over all DVD box as it shows a young character in it which draws in the target audience.
