Visual style:
Dan is more of a fine art photographer, but the work is essentially documentary in its approach. His background that he studied for his degree is in Fine Art,but also over the past 'decade documentary' photography has found more of an audience in galleries than in the printed form such as magazines.

This photo is simple yet effective, a lot of Dan's work is in black and white which does make the whole photo look a lot more interesting.

This photo catches my eye because it's so simplistic and no one in this photo was ready/prepared for it so it looks really natural and realistic.

This photo is really simply but again because it's in black and white it does stand out.
'Photography allows you to be interested in people legitimately and I’m always intrigued by people and cultures'
My question for Dan:
Would you go into photography full time and give up your job as a teacher or not?
